John & Helen Burns
John and Helen Burns serve on the Mercy Canada Board. They also pastor Relate Church, a thriving family church with three worship centres in the Greater Vancouver area. John and Helen travel internationally, speaking on topics including marriage, family and relationships. They are gifted authors and hosts of the television show, Relate.
Helen Burns first heard Nancy Alcorn, Mercy Ministries founder, speak in Australia. She was impacted by the life-changing work she was doing with young women. After all, Helen and John know firsthand what an eating disorder can do to a family - their daughter battled with one for ten years. "I knew God was asking me to launch out and initiate Mercy Ministries in Canada" says Helen. "John and I became so passionate about providing a refuge of safety, hope and faith for our young women."
